Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Groops
Billing
Monthly billing charges you each month and renews automatically on your monthly anniversary. Annual billing charges you once per year at a discounted rate (Standard: $290/year vs $29/month; Pro: $990/year vs $99/month). You choose monthly or annual at checkout; both options appear on the Billing page. Cancellations on either cycle take effect at the end of your current billing period.
We process payments and subscriptions exclusively through Stripe — card payments, receipts, and subscription management all go through Stripe. We do not store raw card numbers on our servers. If you have billing questions, include your Order ID and any transaction details when contacting support so we can investigate quickly.
Subscriptions can be billed monthly or annually and will automatically renew on your next billing date. You can cancel anytime from your account to stop future renewals — cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. If you need help cancelling or reviewing a renewal, contact support and include your Order ID.
If a project shows "Awaiting Payment" it means the project was created but payment for the selected paid plan has not completed yet. To proceed: 1) Visit Billing in your account and complete the checkout for the project plan. 2) If you already completed payment but the project still shows awaiting status, check your dashboard for a receipt/order ID and refresh the Portal. If the problem persists, contact support with your Order ID and Project ID so we can confirm the payment and resume generation. Once payment is confirmed, generation will proceed automatically — there is nothing to approve.
Annual subscriptions are generally non-refundable for the remainder of the billing year once the charge has processed. If you believe an error occurred (for example a duplicate charge or processing issue), contact support with your Order ID and transaction details — exceptional refunds may be issued after review. Refunds are processed via our payment processor (Stripe) and may require verification; we'll notify you once a decision and any refund are completed.
AuthorPass is a membership program on SelfPublishing.pro. If you have an active AuthorPass subscription that includes the Groops benefit, you can activate a free Groops Standard plan by clicking "Claim AuthorPass Benefit" on your portal dashboard. The system verifies your account email against SelfPublishing.pro automatically. If verification fails, check that you are logged in with the same email address used on SelfPublishing.pro, or contact support.
Yes — you can upgrade anytime from your account billing page. Upgrading gives you access to the higher plan's page allowance and features; for active projects we will automatically generate the remaining pages for that project once payment completes (no need to start over). Upgrades are charged at checkout; if you need a custom billing arrangement (for example, a manual pro‑rate) contact support and we'll review your request.
Yes — after any paid purchase you'll receive an order confirmation email that includes your Order ID and receipt. If you don't receive it, please check your spam folder first; if it's still missing contact support and include your Order ID so we can resend it for you.
Yes. We process card payments exclusively through Stripe and do not store raw card numbers on our servers. If you have questions about a charge, please contact support with your Order ID and any transaction details so we can investigate.
Admin users may see a TEST MODE banner at the bottom of the site when the payment sandbox mode is enabled in Site Settings. This banner appears only to admin-level accounts as a safety indicator during testing — no real charges are made while test mode is active. Note: PayPal is no longer an active payment method on this site. If you are a customer and see unexpected billing behavior, contact support and include your Order ID.
Your generated pages remain live and accessible to visitors even after cancelling or downgrading — we do not delete your pages automatically. However, your page and project limits will revert to those of your new plan at the end of the current billing period, and you will not be able to generate new pages beyond the Free plan allowance. If you want to remove your pages, you can delete them manually from the portal at any time.
Yes. If you cancelled your subscription but your current billing period has not yet ended, you can reactivate it from the Billing page — look for the Reactivate button next to your plan. Reactivating prevents the cancellation from taking effect and your subscription continues normally from the next renewal date. If your billing period has already ended and access has reverted, you will need to subscribe again from the Billing page.
AuthorPass is a membership benefit available through SelfPublishing.pro. If you have an active AuthorPass membership with the Groops Standard benefit enabled, you can claim a free Groops Standard plan from your dashboard using the same email address — no payment required. Click the 'claim your benefit now' link on your dashboard to verify and activate it instantly.
Groops uses Stripe for secure payment processing and you can choose monthly or annual billing — annual costs less than paying month-to-month. If you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period and your data remains available for 30 days after that before the account is suspended.
When you upgrade, Groops automatically continues generating the remaining pages for your existing project — you do not need to start over or create a new one. Upgrades take effect immediately and you are only charged the prorated difference for the current billing period.
General
SaaS (Software as a Service) is a project category for software tools, platforms, memberships, or web apps that users sign up or subscribe to. Choose SaaS when your main call-to-action is a signup URL and you want pages targeting software-specific keywords. Website is better for general online businesses or digital products that are not subscription-based. Both types generate the same style of targeted SEO landing pages; the category mainly helps Groops ask the most relevant questions and tailor keyword research.
Groops uses AI to automatically generate up to 25 unique, SEO-optimized landing pages per groop for your product, book, business, or service. Each page targets a different keyword your potential customers are already searching for, giving you more entry points into Google search results. The Free plan generates 3 pages; paid plans generate up to 25. You describe your product once and Groops handles keyword research, content writing, and publishing.
Both documents are available at the bottom of every page. Go to groops.com/privacy for the Privacy Policy and groops.com/terms for the Terms and Conditions. They cover data collection, payment handling, acceptable use, and how the service works.
Getting Started
A groop is a project you create on Groops. Each groop represents something you want to promote — a book, business, podcast, YouTube channel, event, app, or similar — and it serves as the container for all the AI-generated landing pages related to that item. You give the groop a name, category, and details, and our AI generates targeted SEO landing pages for it.
Generation time depends on project size, plan, and queue load. Free projects (3 pages) typically finish in 2–5 minutes. Standard and Pro projects (up to 25 pages per groop) commonly complete in 8–20 minutes; larger queues or slow external API responses can push that to 30 minutes. The first page may take slightly longer while keyword research runs. We'll email you when all your pages are ready.
Yes — you can create an account or log in using your Google account. On the sign-up and login pages, click the Google sign-in button and authorise access. Your Google email becomes your Groops account email. If you already have a Groops account with that same email, Google sign-in will log you into your existing account.
Groops supports ten project categories: Book, Website, SaaS, E-commerce, YouTube Channel, Local Service, Podcast, Professional Profile, App, and Event. When you create a new groop, you select the category and fill in the relevant details (for example, title and buy link for a book, or business name and service area for a local service). The AI uses those details to generate targeted landing pages.
Yes. During the project setup wizard you can upload a product image (JPG, PNG, or WebP) and an optional document (PDF, TXT, EPUB, or DOCX — up to 10 MB). Legacy .doc files are not supported. The image is used to generate a cinematic hero image for your landing pages using AI (or you can choose to use the original image as-is). The document text is used as additional context to make the generated pages more accurate.
Log into your portal at groops.com/portal to view all your generated pages.
We'll email you when your pages are finished and update the project status in your Portal dashboard — you can also check progress any time at /portal/.
If you started a project but didn't complete it, you can find it in your Portal dashboard. Open the project from the dashboard and click the edit (pencil) button to reopen it in the setup wizard with your details pre-filled — just review, complete any missing fields, and click Create Project. If you can't find your project in the portal, contact support and include your account email and any project name so we can help.
The fastest way is the Contact form on our Contact page — it ensures we have your details and typically gets a response within hours. You can also email hello@groops.com. For quick questions you may text or call +1 978-643-8662 (standard messaging/data rates may apply).
No — all your generated pages are hosted on groops.com under a public URL that search engines can find and index. Each page gets its own unique link on the Groops domain, which you can share directly or link to from your main site. You do not need to own a website, set up hosting, or configure any servers to use Groops.
No. Your landing pages are hosted on groops.com with SEO-friendly URLs under the groops.com domain. You do not need to own a domain, set up hosting, or touch any code to get started.
Groops supports ten project categories: books, websites, SaaS tools, e-commerce products, YouTube channels, podcasts, local services, professional services, apps, and events. Each category has its own tailored questions and content strategy so the generated pages match what your audience is actually searching for.
Yes. During the project setup wizard you can upload a JPG, PNG, or WebP image (up to 10MB) and Groops will use AI to enhance it into a 1200x630 hero banner used across all your landing pages. If you prefer to skip AI enhancement, you can toggle an option to use your image as-is, which will still resize it to fit.
Yes — during the project setup wizard you pick a style tone that shapes the mood of your hero image and overall page voice. The options are: Professional, Casual, Friendly, Technical, Luxury, Bold & Energetic, Inspirational, Humorous, Authoritative, and Empathetic. Choose the one that best matches how you want your brand to come across to visitors.
When you upload a product image in the setup wizard, Groops automatically extracts the dominant colors from that image and pre-fills your brand color settings to match. You can accept those suggestions or pick completely different colors using the color picker. If you skip the image upload, the wizard starts with Groops default colors which you can still customize before creating your project.
Yes. In step 5 of the project wizard you can upload a PDF, EPUB, DOC, DOCX, or TXT file up to 10MB, or paste content directly into a text field. Groops extracts the text and uses it to generate more accurate keywords and more relevant page content tailored to your specific product.
Pages & Content
Yes. From your Portal you can view any generated page and delete pages you don't want. Deletions are permanent (there is no recycle bin), so please be sure before deleting. For the first generated page you can request an alternate version if you prefer not to delete it. If you need help restoring content after deletion, contact support and include the Project ID and page details.
If you don't like a page you can delete it from your portal. For the first generated page you can use the "Request Different Version" button to get an alternate take. On Standard and Pro plans you can also regenerate pages using backup keywords.
Yes. From your portal dashboard, open the project and use the Delete Project option. This permanently removes the project and all its generated pages, keyword research, and generation jobs — there is no recycle bin, so please be certain before proceeding. If you need to recreate a deleted project, you will need to start the onboarding wizard again.
On Standard and Pro plans you can download a CSV file of all your generated pages for a project — including page titles, keywords, URLs, and current status — directly from your project in the Portal. Open a project and click the Export button to download the file. It opens in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet app.
Every page is written by AI for a specific keyword and search intent, so each one has its own headline, body copy, and call-to-action tailored to what someone searching that keyword actually wants to find. Groops deliberately avoids thin or duplicate content — each page targets a distinct angle of your offer.
Yes. From your project detail page in the portal, find the page you want to redo and click Rebuild. The page is re-queued for generation using a backup keyword, and a new version replaces it once the job completes. Rebuild uses one backup keyword from your keyword research pool, so only a limited number of rebuilds are possible per project.
Yes — your Stats Dashboard is now live. Log in and visit /stats/ to see total visits, CTA click rates, and a breakdown of your top-performing pages across all your projects, along with a recent click log. Project-level totals are also visible directly in each project in your Portal.
Yes. You can edit project details at any time by resuming your project from the dashboard. If you want a specific page rewritten, you can queue it for a rebuild from the project detail view and Groops will regenerate it using a backup keyword.
Yes. From your project dashboard you can delete individual pages or remove an entire project. Deleting a project permanently removes all associated pages, keywords, and generation jobs — this action cannot be undone, so a confirmation prompt is shown before anything is deleted.
Pages & Generation
Yes. Open your project in the Portal to see a live progress bar showing how many pages have been generated out of your total. The count updates automatically as each page completes — no need to refresh the page.
No — all your pages start generating automatically as soon as your project is created and any payment is confirmed. There is nothing to approve; once the process begins, every page is generated and you will receive an email when they are all live.
Pricing
We offer Free, Standard, and Pro plans, billed monthly or annually. Quick reference:
- Free: 3 pages, 1 groop, $0.
- Standard: 25 pages per groop, 25 groops — $29/month or $290/year.
- Pro: 25 pages per groop, unlimited groops — $99/month or $990/year.
You can switch between monthly and annual billing at checkout. Upgrades take effect immediately; you can upgrade anytime from your Billing page. When you upgrade, we will automatically generate any remaining pages for active projects. Exact plan feature details are shown on the Billing page.
Project limits vary by plan. Free: 1 groop. Standard: 25 groops. Pro: unlimited groops. Your current plan's allowance is shown when you create a new project and on your Billing/Account pages. Contact support if you need a custom arrangement.
The Pro plan supports unlimited groops (compared to 25 on Standard), which makes it ideal if you promote many products, services, or brands. It also includes priority processing so your pages are generated ahead of the Standard queue. All other features — AI keyword research, AI hero images, full stats dashboard, CSV export, and page rebuild — are available on both Standard and Pro.
The Free plan lets you create 1 groop with up to 3 landing pages at no cost — no credit card required. It includes AI keyword research, and all 3 pages generate automatically so you can see real results before deciding whether to upgrade.
Standard ($29/month or $290/year) gives you 25 groops with up to 25 landing pages each, a full stats dashboard, AI hero images, and CSV export. Pro ($99/month or $990/year) expands that to unlimited groops plus priority processing. Both plans can be cancelled before the next renewal.
SEO
We add live pages to our sitemap automatically and regenerate the sitemap on a regular hourly schedule, which helps search engines find newly generated pages faster. Search engine indexing timing varies by crawler and can take anywhere from a few hours to several weeks; submitting your sitemap to Google Search Console can speed things up.
Low-competition keywords can start ranking within days to a few weeks. Higher-competition niches may take 2 to 3 months. The more pages you have live, the more opportunities you have to rank — which is why generating a full group of pages matters more than perfecting a single one.
Troubleshooting
If page generation fails, please open a support request and include your Project ID. For first-page issues you can use the portal's "Request Different Version" button; for other failures we'll investigate, retry generation, or advise next steps and email you when it's resolved.
